10 Tips for WDW with Preschoolers- Part 2

The second part of this series shares suggestions on spending time at Walt Disney World with your preschool-aged child. From first hand experience and feedback from many clients, Travel Planner- Cheryl shares her best ideas.6. Rope drop!  Take advantage of your little ones waking up early!  Park busses start to run an hour to 45 minutes before official park opening.  Getting to the parks early may allow for some great photo opportunities before the park opens.  You can also do a ton of rides before noon to allow for a mid-day resort break or a stroller nap break-another great opportunity for the rider swap option!7. Bring or rent a stroller-If you don’t have a stroller at home or don’t want to deal with traveling with your own there are plenty of affordable options to rent a stroller.  Ask your travel planner to help!  Strollers make the best place for a midday nap and allow you to get somewhere if you are in a hurry! Plus it helps break up the walking for their little legs!8. Take advantage of the quick service! While Disney has so many options for great table service, little ones often don’t eat that much or have the patience for a long sit down. You don’t want to waste your money or carry leftovers around all day!  Plus the quick service locations allow you to order in advance, so all your have to do is pick up your food, and find a nice cool place to enjoy it! 9. Plan a free day when you aren’t at a theme park!  Take some time to check out the lego store at Disney springs, or resort hop for unique themed dining options. You can use different forms of transportation like the monorail, skyliner or boats to help break up the walking!  Having a day to rest and re-energize helps to make the rest of your trip more enjoyable.  And there is still so much to do outside of the theme parks!  10. Look for the magic! If you find something your little one loves-you can do it again.  And if you find something your little one doesn’t like that you expected they would love, its ok to skip it!    The goal with a little one is not to experience everything.  It’s to experience the things that make you happy!  Watch the ducks in the pond at Magic Kingdom or follow the tiny lizards throughout the resort.  Stop to see the character cavalcades-they are so great about waving to the little ones!  Live in this experience through the eyes of the little one.  It makes all of it easier when you shift your focus to their needs and what makes this experience the best experience for them!Want the best tips for navigating Walt Disney World with your family?  Contact your Goofy Getaways Travel Planner today.Written by Travel Planner Cheryl (cheryl@goofygetaways.com)
