What is Rider Switch?

Do you miss out on some of your favorite rides (or the most popular rides) at Disney because someone in your group doesn't want to ride or isn't able to ride (think young child that isn't tall enough)?Did you know that Disney offers Rider Switch which means you only need to wait in line once but can ride some of your favorite rides?Rider Switch is free and easy to use.  Both Walt Disney World and Disneyland offer this program. So what is Rider Switch?  It is an opportunity for you to ride your favorite ride even if you are traveling with someone unable (or unwilling) to ride.  This is most often used for parents with children, but it can be used if you have other guests who do not want to ride or cannot ride and cannot be left alone. To use Rider Switch, bring your party to check in together at the ride entrance (they will need to scan the tickets or magic bands of any guests planning to ride).  Then part of your group gets in line and rides while an adult (or a couple of family members) wait with the party member unable to ride.  Once the first group has completed the ride, the other party members can then return through the fastpass line to ride with a much shorter wait time.Check your MyDisneyExperience app for the most up to date rides offering Rider's switchTo learn more, contact your Goofy Getaways Travel Planner today.
