4 Parks in One Day Challenge

Park hopping can be a fun way to explore Walt Disney World.  For many years, the 4 parks in 1 day challenge has existed in a variety of ways.  One of our travel planners recently embraced the challenge during COVID restrictions to share the experience with all of you.First, a few reminders about park hopping:

  • Guests must have a valid park hopper or theme park ticket.
  • Guests must have a valid park pass reservation for the first park they plan to visit and they must enter this park before being allowed to hop to any other parks.
  • Guests may need to check park capacity by calling 407-560-5000.  Park hopping is not guaranteed (though we have yet to hear of a guest not be able to park hop to their desired location).
  • Park hopping typically begins after 2pm (always remember to check the park hours through MyDisneyExperience for the most up to date information).

Travel Planner, Amy, chose to try the 4 parks in one day challenge with her friend during a recent trip to Walt Disney World.  This day is based on 2 adults that move fairly quickly through the parks and have visited many times. Here is what Amy had to say:We chose to select our park pass and start at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  My friend loves Star Wars and we wanted to try for a Rise of the Resistance pass and experience some things at Hollywood Studios.  Our goal was to ride one attraction, get one picture from a Photopass photographer and to eat or drink one item at each park.  We stayed at Disney's Boardwalk Inn.Timeline:7am- tried for Rise of the Resistance Boarding passes- unsuccessful8:30am- Arrived at Hollywood Studios (park officially opened at 9am) and rode Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway then enjoyed Toy Story Mania and Alien Swirl Saucers9:15am- Ronto Roasters for the breakfast wrap & photos in Galaxy's Edge10:30am- Frozen SingAlong then a little shopping before heading back to the resort12-1pm- Pool time at the resort1:30pm- Hopped on a bus to Animal Kingdom (Park 2)1:45pm- Arrived at the AK gates; had to wait until 2pm to enter then took pictures in front of the Tree of life2:20pm- Ate at Satu'li (mobile ordered on the bus on our way to the park)2:45pm- Kilimanjaro Safari3:30pm- Headed to the bus stop for Magic Kingdom.   Waited over 30 minutes4:30pm- Magic Kingdom (Park 3)- grabbed frozen treats from Sunshine Terrace5-7pm- Rode Under the Sea, Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain7pm- We realized we forgot to take a picture of our stuffed animals at Hollywood Studios and waited for a bus to go back there and take a picture.  We walked into the park at 7:59pm (with the park closing at 8pm).8pm- Hollywood Studios picture then walked to EPCOT8:30pm- EPCOT (park 4!) we decided to explore the food booths for Flower & Garden festival for our food choices10pm- Rode Frozen Ever After10:30pm- Grabbed a final drink in Italy to celebrate the crazy, fun dayIt was a fun, exhausting day.  We walked over 36,000 steps.  My best tips are to prepare to wait for transportation and use mobile order for your food in advance.  That allowed us to avoid waiting for food.  We also picked rides without incredibly long wait times.[gallery columns="4" ids="2491,2492,2493,2494"]Quick Summary
