Finding the Quiet at Walt Disney World

During busier times, crowds can become overwhelming at Walt Disney World.  Each park has areas where bottle necks tend to occur and the crowds can look larger as well.   Even now at reduced capacity, the parks can still feel crowded and you may want to take a break.Knowing where you can step away and find a little space can be helpful for a moment to recharge in the parks.  If you have the chance to head back to your resort and explore there or even play in the pool, this is also a great option during the middle of the day when the parks are busiest (and hottest). Hollywood Studios: This park has the least number of quiet spots but in general the crowds will diminish outside of Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land.  You can find some space and occasionally quiet over near Rock n’ Roller Coaster and Lighting McQueen’s Race Academy, in the Muppet Plaza area and currently near the Star Wars Launch Bay since there are no character meet and greets.Magic Kingdom: the crowned jewel of Walt Disney World also draws the largest crowds which can pose a challenge when you are looking for a quiet spot to relax.   There are a number of places to enjoy some space in this park but you just need to know where to look.  First up, the hub grass area in front of the castle is actually a great spot to sit down or let little ones roam.  It isn’t quiet but it can be peaceful.  Back in Fantasyland, past the Dumbo ride is Pete’s Silly Side Show (currently a relaxation station).  There is also seating out front if you are willing to go to this far corner of the park.  When it is open. Tom Sawyer’s Island is one of the best locations to escape the crowds to sit and relax or to let the kids explore.
