6 Reasons to Take your Kids to EPCOT

EPCOT gets a bad rap for families unduly.  Misconceptions include that it is boring, there isn't any for kids to do, and that it is full of drunk college kids/young adults. But we are here to set the record straight and while we could share many ideas, we are focusing on 6 reasons to take your kids to EPCOT.

  1. Best locations in all of Walt Disney World for Frozen fans.  In Norway, your Frozen fans can ride Frozen Ever After AND meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus.
  2. You can see so many of their favorite characters.  From Princesses around the world showcase to Mickey and Joy near the Imagination pavilion and more, this park has characters all around throughout the day for your child to see.
  3. Multiple family-friendly rides.  The majority of the rides here are great for kids including Frozen Ever After, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Figment, Living with the Land and more.  Plus, there are still other fun attractions such as Test Track and Soarin' that don't have too crazy of height restrictions.
  4. KidCot.  In the countries around the World Showcase, kids can participate in this fun activity to learn about the countries.  This is best for children in elementary school but can still be entertaining for preschoolers.
  5. Food variety.  If you are open to grabbing food from a variety of places, you can find basic staples like pizza for the kids while you are able to enjoy something more unique from one of the countries and it's easy to do in this park.  Big bonus during the festivals as you can grab a variety of light bites from various food booths to enjoy while your child enjoys their Mickey pretzel.
  6. Festival entertainment.  The festivals are fun for all ages.  For kids, check out the scavenger hunt (usually around $9.99 for an official map), special playgrounds, and other unique activities.
